Police are investigating after the attempted armed robbery of a Chermside fast food store last night.

Shortly before 9pm a woman entered the Webster Road store, armed with a screwdriver and demanded money from the male attendant.

The woman then ran from the store empty handed.

The male attendant was not physically injured.

The woman is described as being of Aboriginal appearance, 170cm tall and of thin build. She was wearing a red hooded jacket and black jeans. Her face was obscured by a black cloth.
