Robbery with violence, West End
Police are investigating an incident in which a man was assaulted and robbed at West End overnight.
Around 6.30pm the man was approached by a woman asking him to buy her some food.
The man complied. The woman then asked if he would buy her alcohol.
The man followed the woman down an alleyway toward a bottle shop when he was approached by another man who punched him several times to the face.
Cash was then stolen from the victim’s wallet before the man and woman ran off.
The woman is described as being of Aboriginal appearance, mid 30s, of average build, approx 168cm tall and was wearing a colourful top.
The man is only described as being of Aboriginal appearance.
The victim was taken to the Princess Alexandra hospital for treatment of facial injuries.
