Robbery and assault, Andergrove
Police are investigating the assault and robbery of a man at Andergrove this morning.
Around 1.45am the man was walking along Bedford Road when he was approached by two men.
He was punched in the face and fell to ground where he was further assaulted and had property stolen from his pockets.
The two men then ran off.
The victim was able to flag down a passing police car. He was taken to the Mackay Base Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
The two men are described as being of Aboriginal appearance.
